Chapter 19: Not Stuck In A Ravine Anymore Gang
"Sigh, Almost two days since we've been here," complained Conhadda. "It's day five. We better do something because it'll be hard to catch up.
"Well, we're in a ravine and there's a whole vein of copper and iron here," pointed out Othr. "Maybe you should mine with me and Creamy, yeah?"
"He's right, Con," Omega nodded. "At least we can make them into something. Here, have a look at this thing I've been working on."
He tossed a spyglass to his teammate. It looked crude and had a homemade feel to it. The metal looked rather dull and most of it was bound by a rope of some sort. Conhadda took a peek with the gadget and saw the surface from beneath the ravine.
Nothing of importance, just some grass, and a few chickens.
Simartar and Batuganda were next to their campfire, preparing cooked food in a pot suspended from the fire. They used all of their chicken meat and some vegetables to make a warm broth soup that would surely fill them up.
They gave everyone in the group a wooden bowl and filled it with soup.
Six was busy with his noteblocks, as usual. He played a sad, somber tune that sounded like a lullaby.
Stick couldn't help but listen to him. "Keep playing, I like it."
"Thanks." Six played a different tune that had a faster tempo and a lighter beat. Stick also joined in, borrowing another noteblock, and played it along with him, hitting them with his sticks to produce a unique string bass sound. As they were playing, Omega thought to himself deeply.
Suddenly, something sparked within his mind.
"Hey Six, can I borrow your noteblocks?"
"Sure, just handle them carefully, okay?"
Carefully, he stacked each of the noteblocks as well as the block beneath it in a manner that resembled a staircase.
"We can get up now."
"Finally!" Conhadda exclaimed in joy. "Everyone, let's go!"
Everyone in the group packed up and went up the ravine. Six wasn't fond of the idea, though. He's concerned that his noteblocks would eventually break.
"You better be careful when stepping on my noteblocks, or elseโฆ"
"Or else what?" Creamy talked back and was shushed by Othr.
Eventually, they were faced with a huge wall. Omega and the others would continue making the staircase, but the blocks they had weren't enough to reach the surface.
Stick acted quickly and used all of his sticks to create some ladders with his stick powers. The sticks latched onto the wall and crawled upward like a vine.
Stick headed up first before everyone else. He reached the top end of the ladder and looked back at everyone.
"Still not enough! We can still reach the surface though!" Stick called on everyone. "Someone just has to carry me up!"
Six went up next. He grabbed Stick's legs and helped him climb his way up.
"Come on guys! We'll just pull you up here."
Everybody followed. They were eventually going back up the surface one by one. Before Omega could even climb the ladder, Simartar pulled his arm back.
"When you wake up from the simulation, just check your pockets for a letter. Anyways, I think I've had enough time here. It was nice meeting you again."
"Must you leave the simulation now, Simartar?" asked Batuganda.
"I'm afraid I will. Good luck, Omega."
Omega didn't say a word. He only nodded and continued going up the ladders.
Simartar took a deep breath and jumped off the ravine. Two cannons fired from a distance.

Conhadda, followed by Omega reached the surface thanks to Stick and Six pulling them up. The noon sun was already shining overhead after everyone got out of the ravine.
"We better scram or else Omega kills us." Creamy told Othr.
"Well, I could've just done it days ago," Omega overheard Creamy's remark. "Besides, we all have an agreement here. We can just fight on the last day of the simulation or when the cornucopia gets refilled. You can still let me know if you're itching for a fight or something."
"Uh, no thanks." Creamy backed off and hid behind Othr.
"Wait, the refill happens today, right?" asked Conhadda. Everyone nodded in response.
"Yes, it would. Let's split up again and act like we never teamed up once we meet each other somewhere," said Stick. He gave everyone small twigs from his pocket.
"That's for good luck. Hope it all ends up well."
"Seeya, guys." Six waved everyone goodbye.
Before everyone left, feedback from a microphone could be heard throughout the simulation. The three groups paused, awaiting an announcement.
"The cornucopia has been refilled. Good luck to everyone who has made it this far!" It was Cyclosword's voice.
"Con?" Omega looked at his teammate. He looked as if he had the plan to go back.
"Yeah?"
"We can get another enchanted apple."
