Chapter 3: Pineapple Kings and Lifeboat Tales

`~Gyrra~` Gyrra couldn't believe this. He was going to be paired with Matt! Matt! Of all people! Ever since he was small, he had been crowned the Pineapple King. It was his title. But when Matt came to the Hive District, it was like the title had been taken away from him. Of course, the title wasn't taken away from him, but having to split it with someone else was worse than having it taken away. For Gyrra, there can only be one. So he challenged Matt to pineapple eating contests, which is basically where one must eat more pineapples than the other person. It was something he invented. Pineapples were a problem: they don't grow anywhere except for on Dove Rose, a surrounding island of the main island. While that isn't very far at all from Gyrra's home on Hawk Scilla, they were a delicacy there. A really delicacy delicacy, reserved for those who are respected the most on Hive Island. Gyrra could be considered respected in some ways, but he had never been to Dove Ro

Chapter 2: Memories and Command Blocks

. ..Ryuga... Ryuga crept around the corner. This is that same place where he had missed the sign-ups yesterday. That was disappointing, but he probably would have died on the first day if he did sign up. It's that time of the day when the sun is setting and the sky is bright orange. He knew it was Jay Blossom's because it had a light blue sail. He went to join the others at the dock. Honestly, there wasn't any reason he should be hiding. Cyclosword wouldn't recognize him, he's not well-known enoug

Chapter 1: The Boring Sign-up Process

~*~Centuria~*~ The sun is shining on this clear afternoon, at Hive Island. Blocky leaves swayed in the slight breeze, and square clouds drifted overhead.  Centuria is in the shade, across the path from the Quest Master's house. Sign-ups for the simulation Hunger Games start this afternoon and will end at eight in the evening. Usual years, only the few who are brave did sign-up - after all, nothing good happened to the Selected Team last year - this year though, there's already a long line waiting.  She sat down and gathered up the sign-up sheets. "We start now!" She called. This whole new experience was pretty new to her. She'd be the announcer and collect these sheets for Splodger, but that's really it. Cyclosword would prepare the dangers and surprises in the simulation arena, Leopard would be in charge of running the simulation arena in what he called the Spectator Dome, and pretty much everything else is organized by Leader Splodger and his most trusted de
